Cromar AlphaChem The Business is ideal for:
- Versatile application: Suitable for a wide range of bonding and sealing tasks.
- Compatible with various materials: Can be applied to glass, timber, bricks, porcelain, ceramics, polyurethane, GRP, polystyrene, coated metal, epoxy, PVCu, most plastics, and more.
- Nail replacement adhesive: Functions effectively as an alternative to nails.
- Food-safe: Suitable for use in areas where food is processed and/or stored, ensuring safety and compliance.
APPLICATION
- Ensure surface preparation: Clean surfaces thoroughly, removing dust, grease, or any other contaminants. Use a silicone remover to eliminate old silicone residue.
- Nozzle preparation: Cut the nozzle thread to the desired size before application using a sealant gun.
Application as a Sealant:

- Apply a continuous bead along the joint and allow it to cure.
- Use a spatula dampened with soapy water to tool down the sealant for a smooth finish.
Application as an Adhesive:

- Apply in beads or strips and carefully bond the surfaces together, allowing them to cure.
- Note: For heavy items or mirrors, provide temporary support during curing.
Cleanup:
-
- Remove any excess material and promptly clean tools using white spirit.
- Once cured, the sealant can only be removed mechanically.
- Hands can be cleaned with Grafters Wipes.
LIMITATIONS
- For overhead applications, it’s advisable to supplement with mechanical fixings.
- Avoid installations on surfaces prone to oil or plasticizer bleeding.
- Priming is recommended on porous substrates prior to application.
- Note: Curing in low light conditions may cause yellowing.
- This product is not intended for aquarium use.
- Unsuitable for PE, PP, PTFE, PC, PMMA, soft plastics, natural stone, mirrors, wax, neoprene, or bituminous surfaces.
- Overpainting with water-based paints is feasible once dry, but always conduct a compatibility test due to potential paint variations.
- Incompatible with movement and glazing joints.
- Conduct trials on a small area before widespread application.
- Users are responsible for ensuring suitability for their intended use.
