Bond It Seal It Reinforcing Mat is suitable for improving strength; rapid repair for blisters, splits and tears in existing substrates prior to coating. To be used alongside Seal It Liquid Membrane
APPLICATION
Ensure that the ambient temperature exceeds 5°C before applying the primer. Use a brush or roller to apply a single coat of Seal It Primer to the surface, adhering to the recommended coverage rate to achieve the minimum required thickness. Allow the primer to cure fully, typically overnight; however, in colder conditions, a 48-hour curing period may be necessary. If white patches appear in the film, additional drying time is essential.
Complete coverage of bituminous materials with Seal It Primer is crucial before applying Seal It Liquid Membrane. Pay special attention to rough surfaces like bitumen felt, as any gaps in primer coverage may result in product failure. Uneven surfaces and water-based bitumen coatings require two coats of Seal It Primer, ensuring each coat dries completely before applying the next.
Follow the instructions in the Technical Datasheet or packaging details for the application of Seal It Liquid Membrane or Easiseal Pro. For enhanced product longevity over bitumen substrates, it is recommended to embed Seal It Reinforcing Mat into the Seal It Liquid Membrane.
