For an airtight seal, promptly replace the lid after each use. The product maintains an indefinite shelf life when stored in a dry environment at temperatures ranging from 8°C to 25°C. Should water or condensation penetrate the container, refrain from using the material as gelling may transpire; it’s advisable to inspect the contents before application.

Cromar AlphaChem Water Seal is suitable for application on various surfaces including brickwork, concrete, stone, paving, asbestos, and cement. Additionally, it effectively repels water on exterior wood previously treated with a preservative. However, it’s advisable to refrain from using it on Indian Stone surfaces.
APPLICATION
- Ensure all surfaces to be treated are dry, clean, and devoid of dirt, dust, oil, grease, and organic growth.
- Washing surfaces with clean water is acceptable, but avoid using detergents or soap solutions.
- Apply Exterior Water Seal directly from the container without dilution, shaking the container beforehand.
- Utilize a soft-bristled brush or low-pressure airless equipment to apply the material, preventing mist formation with a coarse spray nozzle.
- Typically, a single application is sufficient on masonry surfaces, but a second coat may be applied to porous surfaces once the first coat has dried. On wood, two coats are necessary.
- Begin treatment at the top of surfaces and work downward.
- Note that Exterior Water Seal cannot be painted.
LIMITATIONS
- Avoid applying Exterior Water Seal for 2-3 days following rainfall.
- Remove and replace any defective mortar with new before application.
- Note that the product may not be effective on materials unsuitable for exterior use.
- Take precautions to prevent Exterior Water Seal from contacting windows or glazed areas; mask these areas to prevent splashes.
- Promptly wipe any contaminated areas with White Spirit if contact with glazed areas occurs.
