Cromar Protect 1F is a non-breather membrane designed for use beneath slating and tiled pitched roofs. It functions as a high-performance underlay, requiring ventilation in accordance with BS5250 2021 standards. Installation follows BS5534 2018 guidelines. This membrane effectively blocks dust, rain, and snow from entering the roof void, serving as a secondary barrier. When properly installed, it provides temporary protection for up to 3 months until the primary barrier (slates/tiles) is installed. The lightweight material is easy to handle, and its 45m x 1m roll size allows for convenient handling.

APPLICATION
- membrane.
- Installation can be done under standard roofing conditions.
- Start laying the product horizontally across the rafters, commencing from the eaves.
- Lay Protect 1F up the roof slope, maintaining a maximum drape of 15mm between rafters.
- Avoid pulling Protect 1F taut if not counter battened.
- Adhere to the minimum laps as specified in BS5534:2018.
