Bond It Dustproofer & Hardener is designed to seal and fortify concrete floors, whether they are new (minimum 28 days old) or existing, in settings like garages, warehouses, factories, and workshops, Bond It DUSTPROOFER & HARDENER deeply infiltrates the concrete. This process results in a robust surface that is resistant to dusting, showcasing improved durability against oils, greases, and water.
APPLICATION
During application, it’s essential to wear gloves, boots, and goggles at all times. To maximize the product’s effectiveness, ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, paint, or polish. If any doubts arise, utilize Bond It BRICK & PATIO CLEANER to eliminate stubborn stains before washing down and applying Bond It DUSTPROOFER & HARDENER.
Apply the product uniformly using a brush at a rate of 3-5m² per liter, ensuring there’s no puddling. Employ a firm action to work the product thoroughly into the floor. Allow the first coat to cure overnight before applying a second coat, typically sufficient for most floor types. Wash the floor down with clean water 24 hours after application to prevent efflorescence formation. Additional coats can be applied, allowing each previous coat to cure before application, with a minimum 24-hour gap before washing down.
For overpainting, Bond It DUSTPROOFER & HARDENER can be used, but proper surface preparation is crucial to allow the paint to wet out and adhere. After application, let it cure for a minimum of 24 hours. Wash off and remove unreacted material (especially important for power-floated floors) by sweeping or vacuuming the water away. Leave overnight. Test if the paint will stick in a small area first to ensure that all unreacted material, preventing paint adhesion, has been removed. Repeat the wash down if necessary.
LIMITATION
Avoid using on masonry or colored concretes. Exercise caution with very dense power-floated floors, as they may impede effective penetration. Refrain from washing the floor for at least 24 hours after applying the final coat. It’s important to note that DUSTPROOFER & HARDENER cannot restore disintegrating concrete.
