Bond It Brick Acid is designed to eliminate cement and mortar splashes, as well as light oil stains and grease from surfaces like brickwork, paving, tiles, earthenware, and concrete, Bond It HIGH STRENGTH BRICK ACID is specifically formulated not to adversely affect various types of concrete and stone commonly found in general building areas (with the exception of limestone and marble). This product, when appropriately diluted, can also effectively remove efflorescence.

 

APPLICATION

During the application process, it is imperative to wear gloves, overalls, boots, and goggles consistently. Safeguard metal surfaces and paintwork by covering them with polythene sheets and tape before application. Remove any excess dirt or mortar using a stiff yard brush. When cleaning brickwork, saturate the area with water beforehand to prevent damage to the mortar.

Before undertaking a complete clean-down, perform a test on a concealed area using Bond It HIGH STRENGTH BRICK ACID diluted at a ratio of 4:1 (water to cleaner). For regular use, dilute between 2 and 4 parts water to 1 part cleaner. Apply the solution with a brush, allowing it to stand for 10-15 minutes. Ensure the area does not dry out, occasionally scrubbing with a stiff yard brush. Rinse thoroughly with ample water, avoiding the addition of water to the neat cleaner; always add the cleaner to the water. If stains persist, repeat the process and/or use the cleaner undiluted, taking care to test the neat cleaner on an inconspicuous area first.

For the removal of efflorescence, use an 8:1 dilution of water to cleaner. It is essential to use a plastic container for diluting this product.

LIMITATION

Avoid using Bond It HIGH STRENGTH BRICK ACID on limestone or marble, as its chemicals can harm the surface. Additionally, this product may adversely affect colored concrete, so it’s advisable to test an inconspicuous area before applying it.

For the removal of mould, lichen, or mildew, consider using Bond It MOULD STOP, PATIO BLASTER, or ORGANIC CLEANER. It’s important to note that HIGH STRENGTH BRICK CLEANER and its fumes can cause damage to limestone, marble, stainless steel, and aluminum. If used internally, exercise extreme caution and ensure thorough ventilation. Prevent contact with metals such as steel, copper, aluminum, and titanium. In internal applications, be particularly careful, as the fumes have the potential to damage sensitive surfaces.
