Bond It Duo 2 in 1 Wood Adhesive serves as a versatile adhesive with applications ranging from general purposes to joinery. It proves particularly useful in scenarios requiring prolonged resistance to moisture. This adhesive is compatible with both hard and soft woods, decorative laminates, chipboard blockwood, and various engineered timber panels. Additionally, it is well-suited for utilization with RF bonding machinery. It’s important to note that while DUO “2 IN 1” Wood Glue excels in moisture resistance, it is not recommended for situations involving permanent immersion in water.
APPLICATION
Apply the adhesive onto one surface exclusively, ensuring the two surfaces are brought together within a span of 3-4 minutes. Proceed to clamp the surfaces for approximately 1 hour. After this initial period, cautious handling is acceptable. For optimal results, allow the glued components to remain undisturbed overnight before initiating any machining processes. If excess adhesive is present while still in its wet state, promptly remove it using a damp cloth.
Achieving full bond strength typically takes around 24-48 hours. In the case of employing RF bonding techniques, users should carefully explore the most effective combination of glue application, power settings, and dwell time. It’s important to note that these variables may differ based on the specific machinery and construction methods being utilized.
LIMITATIONS
Avoid applying the adhesive on surfaces with temperatures below +5°C, unless utilizing RF heating, or on timber with a moisture content exceeding 12%. When dealing with timber that will be consistently wet and subjected to stress during use, it is recommended to employ a thermosetting adhesive for optimal bonding.
