Cromar AlphaChem SBR Bond finds widespread application in modifying hydraulic binders across various uses, such as repair mortar, flooring, rendering, bonding, mineral sealing slurries, and cement-based adhesive. Notably, in elevated temperatures (>25°C), incorporating SBR Bond helps prevent premature stiffening of the mortar. Furthermore, the dispersion is devoid of plasticizers and other additives prone to migration, ensuring consistent performance and longevity.
APPLICATION
Bonding Coatings:
- Provides a bonding layer for concrete, masonry, or brick surfaces, enabling the application of cementitious renders, screeds, or repairs.
- Recommended mix ratio: Cement 2 parts by weight, 1.5 parts by volume; SBR 1 part by weight, 1 part by volume.
Adhesive Mortars:
- Ideal for bonding slip bricks, tiles, and mosaics, as well as grouting and pointing with some chemical resistance.
- Recommended mix ratio: Cement 25kg, sand 38kg, SBR 5 litres, water 1 to 2 litres.
Floor Patching, Screeds, Renders, Concrete Repair:
- Suitable for reinstating various applications such as floor patching, screeds, renders, and concrete repair.
- Recommended mix ratio for thicknesses of 5mm to 15mm: Cement 25kg, coarse clean sand 60kg, SBR 5 litres, water 2 to 5 litres.
- Density: 2.200kg/m³. Mix consumption at 15mm thick: 33kg/m².
