Cromar AlphaChem Mortar Plasticiser is specifically crafted to enhance the workability and freeze-thaw resistance of brick and block laying mortars. Here are four key points about Mortar Plasticiser:
Enhanced Workability: Ensures that mortar remains plastic on the board and does not stiffen prematurely, facilitating smoother application.
Improved Consistency: Prevents mortar from segregating or bleeding, maintaining uniformity throughout the mixing and application process.
Reduced Drying Shrinkage: Decreases the likelihood of mortar drying out and shrinking, resulting in a more stable and resilient finish.
Increased Adhesive Strength: Enhances the bond between bricks or blocks, ensuring greater stability and durability of the structure.
Additionally, Mortar Plasticiser offers up to a 50% reduction in water usage, making it a cost-effective solution that allows for the reduction of cement content in existing mix designs. It also accelerates the rate of brick laying or rendering work while providing increased durability and weather resistance, even in freeze-thaw conditions. Plus, it maintains mortar workability even at temperatures as low as -2°C.

Cromar AlphaChem Mortar Plasticiser is formulated to improve the workability and freeze-thaw resistance of brick and block laying mortars, thereby reducing the risk of cracking and crazing. It can serve as a replacement for or complement to lime in mortar mixtures.
APPLICATION
- Stir the product before use to ensure uniformity.
- Either pre-mix with water or add directly into the mortar mix simultaneously with water.
- Note: The excellent plasticizing properties will lead to a notable reduction in water requirement for any given mix.
- When preparing manually, use a vigorous mixing action to ensure efficient production of ‘micro’ air entrainment properties.
- Conduct test mixes to determine the optimal dosage for the specific conditions.
- Add Mortar Plasticiser at a rate of 140 to 280 cubic centimeters per 50 kilograms of cement. Test mixes should be conducted to establish the ideal dosage for the prevailing circumstances.
LIMITATIONS
- The manufacturer cannot anticipate all potential uses of its products, so it is the responsibility of the user to determine their suitability for a particular application.
- Before using the product, it’s important to read the label for health and safety information. A safety data sheet is available upon request for further details.
