Cromar AlphaChem 3 in 1 Admixture offers the advantages of serving as both an air-entrainer and retarder, enabling the coverage of large areas in a single application. This improves workability and trowel-ability while substantially decreasing water penetration. Enhanced durability results in reduced efflorescence and shrinkage, further contributing to the overall quality of the application.
APPLICATION
- Ensure that all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned, dry, and free from any dust, loose materials, grease, or other contaminants before beginning work.
- Work should be conducted in accordance with the guidelines outlined in code of practice BS5262(1991) for external renders.
- When adding to the mix, incorporate the admixture at a rate of 500 to 1000 milliliters per 50 kilograms of cement, adjusting the amount based on the desired levels of plasticizing or retardation.
- Alternatively, the admixture can be added to the mixing drum at a ratio of 1 part 3 in 1 Admixture to 20 to 40 parts water. It’s important to note that the required water amount should be reduced by up to 20% when using this method.
LIMITATIONS
- Be careful not to overmix the product.
- This product should not be used as a substitute for a damp-proof course (DPC).
