Bond It HVC Superglue offers a robust bond by combining elevated tensile strength with enhanced impact resistance. Its higher viscosity makes it suitable for application on porous and vertical surfaces, preventing excessive penetration or running.
Applications: The increased viscosity of Bond It HVC16 SUPERGLUE makes it especially well-suited for use with foam products. It can be effectively employed for bonding:
- PVCu trims.
- Rubber materials.
- Timber surfaces.
- Various plastics.
APPLICATION
HVC16 allows for component readjustment prior to the commencement of bonding. Apply a thin film to one side and promptly bring the components together. Reposition within 2-3 seconds. Apply gentle pressure without moving the joint for at least 10 seconds, and avoid handling until the specified bonding time has elapsed. Utilize clamps or hold the components for a few seconds.
The polymerization of cyanoacrylates is initiated by atmospheric moisture. Optimal results are achieved in relative humidity exceeding 50%. Higher humidity levels reduce the chance of monomer evaporation, thereby limiting fume buildup. In continuous bonding processes, ensure adequate ventilation for a safe working environment.
LIMITATIONS
Inappropriate for permanent glass bonding. Surfaces containing oil or grease are not conducive to bonding. Specialized bonding techniques may be necessary for olefinic or fluoropolymer materials.
