Bond It B1 Fire Foam adheres effectively to commonly used construction materials. However, it does not bond well to surfaces like polyethylene, silicone, oil, grease, and similar substrates.
Possible Applications:
- Installing window and door frames, as well as entrance door linings, where a precise and clean backfill is necessary.
- Filling holes in various surfaces.
- Insulating penetrations to enhance energy efficiency.
- Sealing thermal and acoustic insulation boards securely.
- Connecting and sealing joints effectively.
- Minimizing the impact of thermal bridges.
APPLICATION
It is imperative to strictly adhere to the instructions provided for the can. Ensure the use of gloves and eye protection, and avoid any contact with the skin.
For Handheld Application:
- Hold the foam can upright.
- Attach the applicator (straw) to the foam can valve.
- Shake the can vigorously for a minimum of 20 times.
- To apply, invert the can and press the applicator trigger.
- Adjust the foam output using the applicator trigger.
For Gun Grade Application:
- Hold the foam can upright.
- Turn the gun to the can by holding the gun handle with one hand and turning the can with the other hand.
- Be cautious not to point the gun at others during this process.
- Avoid screwing the can to the gun with the valve upside down or by turning the gun on the can.
- Exercise care not to overtighten the adaptor or activate the valve during this procedure.
- Invert the can and commence the application, adjusting the foam output using the gun trigger.
Note: The fresh foam will expand by 2-2½ times, so take care not to overfill joints. Any spills of fresh foam should be promptly removed within the tack-free time using Bond It FOAM CLEANER. Cured foam must be removed mechanically.
